Job Summary

The Integration Software Developer 3 will be part of the Foundation Technology Engine team at Electronic Arts, responsible for building and maintaining tools and technology on the Frostbite game engine. This role will focus on empowering engineering and content creation with a variety of tools and workflows, while also supporting the distributed development team to create connected experiences for Battlefield fans worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with and enhance integration procedures, as well as develop new policies for integration.
  • Work closely with other engineers and testers to provide new tools and technology to the Battlefield Franchise.
  • Analyze data to pinpoint and resolve issues presented by other engineering teams.
  • Oversee the continuous integration systems and maintain records of integration procedures and results.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • React to continuous integration alerts by performing preliminary analysis and dispatching to the appropriate team.
  • Maintain and optimize the build production toolchain.
  • Integrate code/data from development branch to release branch.
  • Integrate code from engine development branch to game development branch.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Release Engineer or Integration Engineer discipline.
  • Generalist with 5+ years of professional experience in C++.
  • Experience in a version control system.
  • Experience with scripting language, e.g. Python, PowerShell.

Nice to Have

  • Experience debugging code and finding defects.
  • Experience with continuous integration or build systems.
  • Experience with Visual Studio and the C++ compiler and linker.

Advantageous Skills

  • Previous experience in the gaming industry.
  • Previous experience in Engineering disciplines in game software development.
