About the Role

B+H Architects is seeking a skilled Healthcare Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our dynamic and progressive team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of healthcare projects, collaborating with our experienced architects and interior leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Healthcare Architecture team to deliver high-quality projects on time.
  • Meet with clients to understand their goals, needs, and resources, and develop tailored solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Stay up-to-date with building codes, technical aspects, and design trends, and apply this knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
  • Provide innovative design leadership, inspiring teams to strive for excellence and exceeding client expectations.
  • Prepare and administer construction documents, including plans, elevations, details, and specifications.
  • Manage materials, products, finishes, furniture selection, specifications, and layouts to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Administer contract documents, bids, and negotiations, and coordinate with other design professionals as needed.
  • Assist with permit tender applications and complete construction administration from tender through project close out.
  • Work within a project fee and client budget, fostering strong client relationships.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in healthcare, with a strong understanding of P3 projects.
  • A membership with ARIDO (or other relevant regulatory body) and NCIDQ certification.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, Windows, and 3D graphic programs such as 3Ds Max, Sketch-up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for design, a positive outlook, and a collaborative approach to work.
