About the Role

B+H Architects is seeking a skilled Healthcare Intermediate Interior Designer to join our dynamic team in our Toronto Studio. As a key member of our Healthcare Architecture team, you will work collaboratively with our Healthcare Interior Leads on various healthcare projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Healthcare team to produce and meet all deliverables within deadline.
  • Under minimal supervision, handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understand the requirements of plans, life safety issues, building codes, and other technical aspects.
  • Provide world-class conceptual design leadership, inspiring teams to strive for design excellence.
  • Manage requirements for materials, products, finishes, furniture selection, specifications, and layouts.
  • Administer contract documents, bids, and negotiations as the client's consultant.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other design professionals, including architects, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, and specialty consultants.
  • Complete construction administration from tender through project close out.
  • Work to a project fee and client budget.
Requirements
  • A degree or diploma from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience with Healthcare.
  • A membership with ARIDO (or other relevant regulatory body).
  • Experience working on P3 Healthcare projects is an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Windows, and 3D graphic programs.
  • Comfortable working within a fully integrated global interiors, architecture, planning, and landscape architecture firm.
  • Passionate in design, positive outlook, collaborative, and patient individual.
