The Merci Clothing Ltd is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, assigning duties, and overseeing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage staff and assign duties to ensure efficient operation of the store.
  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand and competitor activity.
  • Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement pricing and credit policies.
  • Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
  • Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure financial stability.
  • Determine staffing requirements and recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
  • Oversee payroll administration, conduct performance reviews, and supervise office and volunteer staff.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure smooth store operations.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Work under pressure to meet sales targets and customer expectations.
  • Handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Experience:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or management role.
  • Permanent position with 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
