Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Stationary Operating Engineer to join our team at St. Helen's Meat Packers Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete and maintain accurate records, logs, and reports of station operations
  • Instruct and train apprentices in mechanical systems and procedures
  • Assist in routine systems testing and troubleshooting
  • Develop and implement operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
  • Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect malfunctions and ensure normal operation
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Write detailed reports on plant operations and maintenance activities
Requirements
  • College diploma or CEGEP certificate in a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in mechanical systems and operations
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and procedures
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week in a food processing industry setting. English is the primary language of communication in the workplace.
