Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team at Redpath Sugar Ltd. in Toronto, ON. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial powerhouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain oil/gas fired boilers, auxiliary equipment, and other related systems.
  • Perform routine Steam Power Plant duties, including start-ups, shutdowns, and maintenance.
  • Assist the Powerhouse Shift Operating Engineer with power plant operations and provide shift relief as needed.
  • Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety legislation, guidelines, and standards.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of powerhouse activities.
Requirements
  • A valid Ontario Second Class Operating Engineer Certificate is required.
  • 3rd Class Operating Engineer Candidates with at least 50% of exams completed may be considered.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft software.
  • Ability to quickly respond to dynamic circumstances.
