Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Stationary Operating Engineer to join our team at St. Helen's Meat Packers Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete and maintain accurate records, logs, and reports to track equipment performance and maintenance activities.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices to ensure they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operation, maintenance, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect potential issues and ensure they are operating within normal parameters.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Write detailed reports on plant operations and maintenance activities to inform management and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • College diploma or CEGEP certificate in a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in the food processing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant equipment and systems.
