Job Title: Director of Multifamily Builder Sales

Trail Appliances Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Multifamily Builder Sales to lead our Multifamily Sales division to new heights. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and positioning Trail as the industry leader in the Multifamily and Apartment Replacement business channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team to maintain, develop, and grow relationships with Key Accounts
  • Manage the Builder Sales division (KAMs & PCs) through timely execution of engagements through full project cycle
  • Create the annual budget for the division
  • Drive profit opportunity execution
  • Responsible for MFB marketing budget execution for events and sponsorships
  • Authorized signatory for MFB contract management working directly with the Contract Manager
  • Manage the P&L for the MFB division
  • Create new opportunities to land target accounts and grow new networks within the MFB industry
  • Participate in community events to be a brand reflection of the business within our market
  • Create new relationships with Supplier network to formalize and improve MFB support
  • Drive managers and Purchasing to develop, document, and monitor ongoing pricing management procedures to drive profitability & inventory turns
  • Create and implement a structured approach for KAM succession planning and recruitment
  • Create and implement a structure of continuous improved culture and accountability within the MFB team for a sustainable future
  • Support initiatives from other departments with effective change management leadership
  • Ensure collaboration between Sales, logistics, finance, Tech, Purchasing to accomplish company objectives
Requirements:
  • Minimum ten years' experience in a role with profit management as a core function
  • Minimum ten years' experience in a professional sales environment
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a B2B Sales environment
  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma
  • Experience managing people and driving KPIs
  • Ability to prioritize time and manage multiple short-term and long-term projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized and self-motivated to achieve results
  • Strong ability to public speak and provide ownership level presentations
  • Experience in conflict management & negotiations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Residential Construction experience
  • Experience working with high performance sales professionals
  • Natural ability to communicate numeric information to others
  • Strong understanding of Trails internal systems
  • Experience in a high-pressure environment
  • Contract Management
  • Industry Knowledge
Work Environment:
  • Vancouver / Cloverdale
  • Head Office
  • Satellite Locations - Quarterly
  • Home Office - when required
  • Client Entertaining Evenings / Weekends / week)
  • Supplier / Client trips – as schedule 1-4 per annum
