About the Role:

As a Home Support Worker with ParaMed, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their homes, enabling them to live safely and independently. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily tasks and self-care activities, promoting the overall well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to client residences, completing multiple home visits per day to provide support and care.
  • Prepare meals and assist with mealtime, ensuring clients receive the nutrition they need.
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, helping clients feel connected and valued.
  • Assist with personal hygiene care, including showering and bathing, promoting dignity and independence.
  • Support clients with basic activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and mobility.

Requirements:

  • Compassion and excellent listening skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with clients.
  • A passion for making a positive impact in your community, driven by a desire to help others.
  • Ability to work every other weekend, ensuring consistent support for our clients.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, allowing for efficient travel between client residences.
  • Previous experience working with seniors and/or children is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Ability to pass or satisfy a Criminal Background screening upon hire, ensuring the safety and trust of our clients.
