Job Title: Rigger - Telecommunications

Erivan-Gecom Inc. is seeking a skilled Rigger - Telecommunications to join our team. As a Rigger - Telecommunications, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, inspecting trunking systems, and testing equipment to locate transmission faults.

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will have experience working outdoors, at heights, and in dangerous environments. You will be required to climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures, and will need to be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.

Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Inspect trunking systems and test equipment to locate transmission faults
  • Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble
  • Splice, join, and connect wires
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment
Requirements
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Manual dexterity
  • Flexibility, judgement, and reliability
