Primary Purpose:
The Executive Education division of the Edwards School of Business is dedicated to delivering relevant non-degree programs tailored for business leaders and professionals. These offerings include both tailored programs for organizations and public workshops across various business sectors. This division aims to provide lifelong learning opportunities for working professionals while enhancing the connection between the business sector and the institution.
Nature of Work:
Reporting to the Manager of Open Enrollment, this role is tasked with driving enrollment through proactive sales initiatives, which encompass cold calling, lead generation, and relationship cultivation. The focus will be on boosting program registrations and broadening market outreach. You will interact with potential learners, assess their educational requirements, and propose solutions that assist them in achieving their learning objectives. In addition to sales responsibilities, the representative will oversee the registration system, manage client payments, and handle accounts receivable, ensuring a smooth enrollment process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in sales, possess strong communication abilities, and efficiently manage registration tasks. A passion for sales and a dedication to providing a welcoming experience for students and visitors is crucial.
Flexibility in working hours is essential, as there may be early mornings, evenings, and weekend commitments. Occasional travel to attend industry events may also be required.
Accountabilities:
Sales and Outreach
Identify and engage prospective adult learners through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions. Target potential participants through lead generation efforts. Maintain a high volume of outbound calls to meet sales objectives while promoting executive education programs. Follow up and qualify leads generated from marketing initiatives and institutional contacts. Represent Edwards Executive Education at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Utilize knowledge of external grants or training subsidies to recommend funding options to clients. Continuously monitor and nurture the client database, re-engaging previous clients. Conduct informational sessions and program demonstrations for potential learners. Track and report sales activities and progress. Support the Manager and marketing team in promotional strategies. Contribute to the development of sales initiatives.Registration
Develop programs and events in the online registration system quarterly, including both public and custom offerings. Maintain accurate transaction records and timely updates in the registration system. Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring precise billing for all program participants. Monitor and manage accounts receivable, following up on outstanding payments. Prepare and reconcile accounts receivable reports regularly. Generate and retrieve reports from the registration system as requested by the sales and operations teams, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery of information. Ensure compliance with institutional financial policies and procedures. Recognize, review, and rectify registration discrepancies or refer to the Manager as necessary.Customer Service
Respond promptly and accurately to learner inquiries. Provide exceptional customer service to both potential and existing participants. Follow up on leads and inquiries to nurture relationships and drive conversions. Assist learners throughout the enrollment process to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Address learner issues and concerns with a focus on satisfaction and retention. Follow up with learners to ensure their educational needs were met and to foster long-term relationships.Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Commerce or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience:
1-3 years of sales experience, ideally in education or a related sector, with an emphasis on customer relationship management.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. Proficiency in utilizing client relationship management and registration systems. Effective analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. High level of organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal direction and make discretionary decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher) and familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Outlook. Strong customer service skills with a friendly approach under pressure. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
