Research Chair in Community-Based Entrepreneurship and Innovation

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will lead a research program examining the role of community-based entrepreneurship and innovation in sustainable economic and societal growth, particularly in rural, remote, and Indigenous areas in Saskatchewan.
About the PositionThis tenure-track position is available in the Department of Management and Marketing, Edwards School of Business. The Chair will lead entrepreneurial thought and action at the University of Saskatchewan, integrating collaborations with communities to advance impactful entrepreneurship research. The Chairholder will have access to the Business Research Integration Group at Edwards, or BRIDGE, which facilitates connections between researchers, industry, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead a research program examining the role of community-based entrepreneurship and innovation in sustainable economic and societal growth
- Collaborate with communities to advance impactful entrepreneurship research
- Lead entrepreneurial thought and action at the University of Saskatchewan
- Hold a doctoral degree in entrepreneurship, management, or a relevant field
- Demonstrate potential for excellence, creativity, and leadership in research
The successful applicant will be appointed as a tenure-track or tenured faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Edwards School of Business and will be nominated for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair.
