About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with clients and their caregivers to create environments that promote optimal communication and swallowing. You will be responsible for assessing and treating communication and swallowing problems resulting from stroke, head injuries, dementia, degenerative disorders, respiratory issues, and other medical complications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat communication and swallowing problems in patients with various medical conditions
  • Work collaboratively with medical and allied health colleagues to provide comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote optimal communication and swallowing
  • Conduct clinical bedside swallowing assessments and modified barium swallow studies
  • Provide education and support to clients and their caregivers
