We are seeking a skilled Speech-language Pathologist to join our team at the Kamloops Public Health Unit in Kamloops, BC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work with children aged birth-to-school entry from diverse cultural backgrounds and their parents/caregivers. The role involves screening, assessment, intervention, coaching, and education in all areas of speech, language, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in screening, assessment, and intervention with children and their caregivers
  • Collaborate with professionals from the Ministry of Children & Family Development, Ministry of Education, and local community organizations
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support children's communication goals
  • Provide coaching and education to parents and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-language Pathology or related field
  • Experience working with children aged birth-to-school entry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
