Role Responsibilities

The Licensed Automotive Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles powered by various fuel types, including electricity and gasoline. This role encompasses a range of tasks from routine oil changes to diagnosing intricate mechanical issues and executing repairs efficiently.

Key Duties Include:

Assessing and diagnosing vehicle issues based on customer feedback.Conducting thorough inspections and road tests on newly delivered vehicles.Staying updated on relevant regulations and industry standards.Communicating with service consultants regarding additional work requirements or potential delays.Ensuring vehicles are returned to customers in pristine condition.Participating in ongoing training to stay current with manufacturer specifications.Addressing safety concerns promptly and effectively.Performing assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.Testing systems and components to ensure proper functionality.Utilizing diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.Repairing or replacing automotive system components as necessary.Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.Supervising apprentice technicians when required.Adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license.Technician's license and membership in the Ontario College of Trades.Four years of relevant experience in automotive repair.Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools.Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.Experience with manual transmission vehicles.
