About the Role:

The Director of People and Culture will play a key role in supporting the execution of Canadian human resources and national talent acquisition functions. This leader will oversee HR operations, ensure compliance with labor laws, and drive a proactive data-supported recruitment process that supports the organization's growth and retention needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that promote an inclusive, high-performing, and compliant work environment.
  • Lead the national talent acquisition function with a focus on structure and metrics supporting innovative recruiting strategies to attract top talent across all levels.
  • Support the Recruitment Lead who is driving the full-cycle recruitment process, from job posting and sourcing to interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  • Build employer brand initiatives to position the organization as an employer of choice within its industry.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of talent pipelines, leveraging data to predict and address future talent needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certification preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, including the development and execution of recruitment strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex HR and recruitment initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
