Job Title: Lead Driver

At Oliver & Bonacini Events, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of catering drivers, ensuring the successful execution of catering orders and events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and schedule a team of catering drivers to ensure efficient operations.
  • Logistics Coordination: Plan and coordinate the transportation of food, beverages, and equipment to event locations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, including regular inspections, servicing, and addressing any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all deliveries meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all drivers adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Training: Train new drivers on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of vehicles, driver performance, and internal delivery and/or vehicle requests.
Qualifications:
  • Valid G Class License: With a clean driving record.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role within catering or logistics preferred.
  • Strong Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Training: Completion of Food Handling and Alcohol Service training an asset.
Physical Demands:

Activities: Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing.

PPE: May require uniforms and personal protective equipment.
