About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Head Shipper to join our team at The Lamb Company. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations.
  • Prepare Reports: Submit regular reports on inventory levels, shipping schedules, and other key metrics.
  • Resolve Work Problems: Identify and resolve issues related to inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
  • Train and Develop: Provide guidance and training to team members on logistics procedures and best practices.
  • Requisition Materials: Order and manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Organize Inventory: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and ensure efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
  • Oversee Loading and Unloading: Supervise the loading and unloading of goods to ensure safe and efficient handling.
  • Inspect and Verify: Conduct regular inspections of incoming goods to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Determine Shipping Methods: Choose the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods for our products.
  • Affix Shipping Information: Accurately label and document shipments with relevant information.
  • Plan and Organize Logistics: Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics operations and improve productivity.
Requirements
  • Steel-Toed Safety Boots: Ensure compliance with safety regulations by wearing steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate strong skills in accuracy, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Experience: Possess at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics principles and practices.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
