About the Role

As a Trauma-Informed Social Worker at Coast Mental Health, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and effective support to individuals facing complex challenges. You will work within a supportive team environment to empower clients on their journey towards recovery.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental illness, or concurrent disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized recovery plans, incorporating therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma recovery techniques.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups and provide individual client support, fostering a safe and empowering space for healing and growth.
  • Collaborate with program staff, peer specialists, and community partners to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Track and report outcome measures, contributing to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of programs and services.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
  • Minimum three years of experience working with individuals facing mental health or addiction challenges in a similar setting.
  • Registration with the BC College of Social Workers.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and WHMIS certifications, as well as a Ministry of Justice criminal records check.
