Role Overview:

As a Game Operations Specialist, you will be essential in maintaining the online functionality of multiplayer games. Your extensive knowledge of the gaming industry, combined with your technical DevOps expertise, will enable you to tackle various challenges that arise. You will collaborate closely with game studios to address global infrastructure needs, ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with clients from major game publishers and studios, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting issues.
  • Support and mentor team members, assisting with escalated problems and navigating complex situations across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning new infrastructure tools and technologies.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis on customer infrastructure, especially during incidents.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to enhance team efficiency and customer support.
  • Utilize automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Grafana, and Kubernetes.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of containerization, cloud services, and virtual machines, particularly AWS.
  • Possess deep expertise in Linux server management, with some familiarity with Windows systems.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient scripts and code.
  • Be recognized for your productivity and ability to deliver results.
  • Participate in a regular on-call rotation to support both customers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A passion for programming and personal coding projects.
  • Experience in the gaming sector, particularly with backend systems for online games.
  • Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal.
