Consequently, the past decade has seen limited advancements in multiplayer gaming, while single-player innovations have flourished.
We are seeking a seasoned engineer eager to contribute to the development of a pioneering game server authoring workflow dedicated to Unity. As a Senior Netcode Developer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the multiplayer development experience within Unity.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop features within the Unity Editor tailored for multiplayer developers, facilitating rapid networked iterations, server setup, automation, and deployment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance our networking infrastructure, ensuring that vulnerabilities are prioritized and resolved swiftly.
- Engage with various multiplayer teams to align on tooling and workflow necessities.
- Create and uphold high-quality production code and associated tests.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with the Unity Engine.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or C#.
- Understanding of contemporary real-time networking principles.
- Capability to conceptualize, articulate, and execute engineering projects.
- Experience in high-performance programming, multithreading, and memory optimization.
Preferred Skills
- Background in developing server applications at scale.
- Familiarity with cloud computing solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
