Job Title: Dispatcher

At Ville de Côte Saint-Luc, we are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team. As a Dispatcher, you will play a vital role in receiving, recording, and transmitting complaints and requests from the public, municipal employees, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and transmit instructions, information, and calls related to municipal services and activities.
  • Retransmit calls to the relevant departments or personnel, prioritizing according to urgency.
  • Record call details, including time of receipt and other relevant information, and follow up on necessary actions.
  • Monitor alarm consoles for municipal buildings and notify concerned parties of alarm triggers.
  • Ensure timely retransmission of complaints to relevant agencies.
  • Handle telephone calls from the public regarding municipal services, including street conditions, water pipeline breaks, and power failures.
  • Receive and retransmit employee absence notifications.
  • Compile data and prepare statistics on activities.
  • Utilize office equipment and software to perform tasks related to the job.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma and Certificate of Radiotelephone Operator, limited land service, from the Ministère fédéral des communications.
  • One year of similar work experience, allowing the employee to become familiar with this line of work.
  • Bilingual, written and spoken.
