About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Société Financière Manuvie. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Processing and Engineering: Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing and engineering tasks, ensuring data integrity across different systems.
  2. Data Transformation: Handle data transformation jobs, leveraging your expertise in data engineering to ensure seamless data flow.
  3. ETL Processes: Build ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs for data feeds received from upstream systems and processed by downstream applications.
  4. SQL Queries: Develop complex SQL queries in Oracle/MSSQL for data manipulation, ensuring efficient data retrieval and analysis.
  5. Automation: Write shell scripts to automate various processes, streamlining our data engineering workflows.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Experience: 5 years of enterprise development experience with Python for data processing, including data integration, data transformation, and data migration.
  • Skills: Strong background in data engineering, particularly in handling data transformations; advanced skills in writing complex SQL queries; experience with ETL processes, especially using Python.
