Key Responsibilities- Data Pipeline Development: Design and implement data pipelines to collect, process, and deliver data for AI workloads, ensuring high-quality and reliable data delivery.
- Cloud Data Platform: Develop and maintain cloud-based data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, and NoSQL databases, to support analytics and AI workloads.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with senior engineers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility across our data-driven applications.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring, testing, and CI/CD practices to support reliable and scalable data-centric systems, and optimize data storage and retrieval solutions for both analytics and AI workloads.
- Software Engineering: Apply and refine software engineering skills, including design patterns, code review, testing, and documentation, throughout the data platform development lifecycle.
- 8+ years of experience building data pipelines, data processing systems, and/or APIs, even at a smaller scale.
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, demonstrating a strong interest in data-centric applications.
- Understanding of cloud-based data platforms, distributed systems, and containerization concepts.
- Solid software engineering skills in Python, Java, or a similar language, with a willingness to learn and grow best practices.
- Proficiency in back-end development frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, Spring).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Knowledge of version control (Git) and foundational CI/CD concepts.
- Familiarity with NoSQL is a plus.
- Data visualization experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) is desirable.
- Exposure to common ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
