Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Actuarial Valuation Leader to join our team at Selby Jennings. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will be responsible for leading the valuation and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and accuracy in reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Valuation and Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of actuarial reports, financial statements, and disclosures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accuracy in reporting.
  • Manage Audit Processes: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth and efficient audits, ensuring that all audit requirements are met.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to actuarial teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Actuarial Modeling: Develop and implement actuarial models, methodologies, and best practices to enhance valuation accuracy and reporting efficiency.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with senior management to support strategic initiatives and drive decision-making through insightful actuarial analysis.

Qualifications:

  • FSA Designation: Possess a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
  • Life Products Experience: Have background experience with life products, preferably with a focus on valuation and financial reporting.
  • Reinsurance Experience: Possess experience in reinsurance, preferably with a focus on valuation and financial reporting.
  • Extensive Experience: Have extensive experience in valuation, financial reporting, audit, and regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to drive decision-making through insightful actuarial analysis.
