ROME GROUP is in search of a seasoned fundraising expert with substantial experience in major gifts for the position of Senior Director of Philanthropic Impact. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Advancement and collaborates closely with the President & CEO.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Building and nurturing relationships with major donors to secure significant financial contributions.
  • Managing a portfolio of donors while demonstrating impact through effective stewardship and successfully securing funds for annual operations and campaigns.
  • Creating tailored cultivation and stewardship strategies for major donors to foster strong connections.
  • Conducting regular in-person meetings with donors to enhance engagement and secure financial commitments.
  • Collaborating with affiliate teams and board members to identify and pursue joint fundraising opportunities that align with strategic objectives.
  • Utilizing prospect research to discover new major donor prospects and develop strategic plans for cultivation and solicitation.
  • Networking and establishing relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, board members, volunteers, and community leaders.
  • Tracking and managing donor relationships to support fundraising strategies, assisting the VP/Advancement with the major gifts portfolio.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • A strong passion for the mission of ROME GROUP.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment that values excellence, integrity, and ethics.
  • A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree or CFRE certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in major gift fundraising, including donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively with various organizations or departments to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and donor management software.
