Main ResponsibilitiesThe Instrumentation Lead will oversee the Instrumentation group of a project or program, providing guidance and coaching to the team. This senior role will report to the department lead and be responsible for:
- Leading a team of Instrumentation Engineers/Specialists and designers for a Sustainable program or multiple projects.
- Liaising with I&C vendors and the engineering team to resolve technical issues.
- Steering review sessions for I&C deliverables with project stakeholders, including the client's project team.
- Coordinating with the Project Management team to ensure I&C activities align with the project schedule.
- Reviewing and checking I&C deliverables, including datasheets, sizing calculations, MR packages, and Control drawing/deliverables.
- Serving as a senior Technical resource, Checker, and Consultant for the I&C department.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring intermediate/junior engineers in their day-to-day activities.
- Representing the I&C team to the client and ensuring client expectations are met.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- At least ten years of experience in I&C Engineering, with a strong background in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Proven lead experience at the project or program level.
- Experience with Oil and Gas industry projects of various sizes is preferred.
- A degree or technology certification in a relevant field.
- Professional membership with APEGA or equivalent is required.
- Excellent diplomatic and communication skills.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and CAD support.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
