About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Letto's Enterprises Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel, motel, and resort properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all areas are kept clean and free of debris.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Contractor Management: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Appliance Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks, and ensure that all areas are secure and free of hazards.
  • Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and ensure that all outdoor areas are well-maintained.
  • Teamwork: Work with minimal supervision, and be a team player who is able to work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Emergency Response: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability.
