JOB SUMMARY
The role is essential in overseeing the daily management of general ledger-related tasks, ensuring that clients receive support in navigating these processes. Responsibilities include performing key accounting functions such as account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and resolving discrepancies.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; no prior work experience is necessary.
- OR
- A 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; with at least 1 year of experience in finance and accounting or a related professional area.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
- Coordinates and executes accounting tasks and projects as assigned.
- Implements and follows up on accounting standard operating procedure audits across all departments.
- Ensures compliance with relevant laws regarding fraud and collection processes.
- Produces accurate and timely reports and presentations.
- Analyzes data and evaluates outcomes to identify optimal solutions and resolve issues.
- Organizes, codes, categorizes, calculates, tabulates, audits, or verifies information or data.
- Balances credit card accounts.
- Reviews contracts for groups and conducts credit reference checks for billed groups when necessary.
Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals
- Achieves and surpasses performance, budget, and team objectives.
- Establishes specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and complete work efficiently.
- Submits reports punctually, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Accurately documents profits and losses.
- Monitors applicable taxes, ensuring they are current and properly accounted for.
- Maintains a robust accounting and operational control environment to protect assets.
- Completes end-of-period functions consistently.
- Provides guidance and support to other departments regarding accounting and budgeting policies and the effective use of financial resources.
Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge
- Exhibits knowledge of relevant job issues, products, systems, and processes.
- Understands return check procedures.
- Demonstrates familiarity with the Gross Revenue Report.
- Shows proficiency in write-off procedures.
- Is knowledgeable about consolidated deposit processes.
- Stays updated on technical knowledge and applies new insights to the role.
- Utilizes computers and software for programming, developing financial spreadsheets, and processing information.
- Applies relevant information and judgment to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, or standards.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $83,000 annually.
