Grocery Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grocery Store Supervisor to join our team at Asian G Mart. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our grocery department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities of Workers
You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our sales staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.
Assign Sales Workers to DutiesYou will be responsible for assigning sales workers to duties, ensuring that they are working in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Hire and Train or Arrange for Training of StaffYou will be responsible for hiring and training new staff members, or arranging for their training, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge they need to perform their duties effectively.
Authorize Payments by ChequeYou will be responsible for authorizing payments by cheque, ensuring that all financial transactions are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
Order MerchandiseYou will be responsible for ordering merchandise, ensuring that our store has the products our customers need.
Authorize Return of MerchandiseYou will be responsible for authorizing the return of merchandise, ensuring that our customers are satisfied with their purchases.
Establish Work SchedulesYou will be responsible for establishing work schedules, ensuring that our staff are working efficiently and effectively.
Sell MerchandiseYou will be responsible for selling merchandise, ensuring that our customers are satisfied with their purchases.
Prepare Reports on Sales Volumes, Merchandising and Personnel MattersYou will be responsible for preparing reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, ensuring that our management team has the information they need to make informed decisions.
Resolve Issues that May Arise, Including Customer Requests, Complaints and Supply ShortagesYou will be responsible for resolving issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, ensuring that our customers are satisfied and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Organize and Maintain InventoryYou will be responsible for organizing and maintaining inventory, ensuring that our store has the products our customers need.
Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities of WorkersYou will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our sales staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.
Requirements- Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate
You will need to have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate to be considered for this role.
Experience: 7 Months to Less than 1 YearYou will need to have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role to be considered for this position.
Permanent EmploymentThis is a permanent employment opportunity.
30 to 40 Hours per WeekYou will be required to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
English as the Primary Language of WorkEnglish will be the primary language of work for this role.
