Accoravillage is recognized as a premier provider of janitorial and building maintenance services across Canada.

We are in search of a proficient Facilities Operations Manager to oversee and direct all facets of employee relations within our organization.

In the role of Facilities Operations Manager, you will be tasked with leading a team of two HR Business Partners while ensuring positive interactions between the organization and its workforce. Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to applicable labour laws and regulations, as well as promoting a constructive work atmosphere.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Formulating and executing employee relations strategies and policies that are in line with the organization’s objectives.
  • Offering guidance and support to the HRBP team, management, and supervisors on performance-related issues, including conflict resolution, coaching, feedback, and disciplinary actions.
  • Advising the HRBP team, management, and employees on employee relations matters, encompassing the interpretation of collective agreements and labour legislation.
  • Collaborating with HR, legal advisors, and senior management to devise strategies for addressing labour-related risks and challenges.

Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing reports, presentations, and other communications pertinent to employee relations for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Facilities Operations Manager, ideally within contracted services, manufacturing, or other multi-union environments.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring team members.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Dayforce is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Experience in negotiations and contract discussions.
