Financial Analysis Manager

Position Overview: We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to enhance our finance team. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, financial expertise, and the ability to deliver strategic insights that enhance business performance. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the FP&A Manager will be instrumental in budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, financial assessments, and supporting decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
- Lead the annual budgeting cycle, collaborating closely with department leaders to formulate budgets, monitor expenditures, and analyze discrepancies.
- Assist in crafting board presentations, executive summaries, and other communication materials to convey insights into financial performance and trends.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs), to evaluate business performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Oversee the annual sales commission program, including calculations, review, and payment instructions to payroll.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather pertinent data and insights for financial analysis and informed decision-making.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial assessments and scenario modeling to support business initiatives and investment decisions.
- Evaluate the financial ramifications of business strategies, initiatives, and investments to facilitate informed decision-making by senior management.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may influence financial performance.
- Supervise a Financial Analyst in their regular tasks and effectively delegate components of overall assignments. Support the CFO and senior management team in special projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally in a corporate finance or strategic planning role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, financial planning software, and ERP systems; experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or Navision is advantageous.
- Ability to extract and analyze data from SQL databases and other sources.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information to senior leaders clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement and driving bottom-line results.
