Position Overview

The Pharmacy Manager is tasked with ensuring safe, effective, and suitable drug therapy while fostering an environment that promotes employee and customer engagement. This role is pivotal in achieving excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, and operational efficiencies.

  • Work hours: Up to 40 hours per week
  • Flexible options: Part-time/Full-time

Key Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Manager will:

  • Emphasize clinical services, including medication reviews and disease management.
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Administer vaccinations as required.
  • Assess the appropriateness of drug therapies.
  • Monitor patient adherence to medication regimens.
  • Gather and document pertinent patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Advise on over-the-counter products and vitamins.
  • Address patient inquiries that necessitate therapeutic knowledge and clinical assessment.
  • Oversee pharmacy students or provisional pharmacists in executing restricted activities.

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid license in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a managerial role within a pharmacy setting (preferred).
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to expand business operations.
  • Strong leadership abilities to coach and motivate staff.
  • Collaboration skills to work effectively with front-store personnel to enhance patient care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Robust organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Outstanding customer service skills coupled with a high level of professionalism.
