New Grad Program Overview

Candidates selected for this position will be included in Hydro One's New Grad development program, a two-year program that offers a permanent position from Day 1, a combination of training and coaching, and the opportunity to rotate through several roles, gaining experience working on different projects and in different environments.

Job Requirements
  • Must meet New Grad Program Eligibility Requirements
  • A University undergraduate degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Software, Chemical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Previous Co-op/Internship experience in a relevant field and industry is considered an asset
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical OT skills (networking, data processing, security, SCADA, etc.) as well as skills relevant to the utility sector (power flow analysis, contingency analysis, etc.)
  • Learn emerging technologies and implement modern technical solutions to issues within a dynamic team
  • Learn and implement DevOps principles relevant software development principles (CI/CD, Kubernetes, Kanban, etc)
  • Learn SCADA systems and relevant protocols
