We are currently in search of a Quality Inspector to enhance our operations at Fitzii. The organization specializes in contract manufacturing and assembly of medical devices and sub-components. Our mission is to assist clients in delivering successful products through scaled production, design-for-manufacturing expertise, supplier consolidation, and other essential value chain services.

The Quality Inspector plays a pivotal role in the daily management of inspection requirements, ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately and effectively in accordance with the company's quality management system.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the daily inspection, measurement, testing, and approval of all components, products, and processes, utilizing quality metrics to meet established quality targets.
  • Conducting precise and timely measurements of dimensional requirements and verifying material specification documentation against standards.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure the efficient operation of the quality management system.
  • Utilizing quality management system software and Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems on a daily basis.
  • Managing the calibration and maintenance of all inspection gauges.
  • Participating in corrective action initiatives alongside the quality team.
  • Facilitating communication and coordination with administrative, operations, quality, and engineering departments.
  • Assisting engineers and managers in addressing customer and supplier concerns.
  • Conducting product and process audits to ensure compliance.
  • Working with quality, engineering, and production teams to update gauge instructions, quality control procedures, and work instructions.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement activities related to current quality and production processes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience with quality inspection tools (such as hand gauges, optical comparators, CMM, etc.) is essential.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, procedures, and documentation is required.
  • A college degree is preferred, particularly with a technical focus.
  • A conscientious attitude with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail is necessary due to the high volume workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is expected.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently are required.
  • A customer-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement are important.
  • Experience in machining, fabrication, and assembly operations is advantageous.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule and lift a minimum of 50 pounds is necessary.
