We are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to be part of our organization. Fitzii is a North American-based contract manufacturer and assembler specializing in medical devices and sub-components. Our mission is to assist clients in successfully launching their products by offering scalable production, design-for-manufacturing insights, supplier consolidation, and other essential value chain services.

The Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in the daily management of inspection requirements, ensuring thorough and precise documentation in line with the company's quality management system.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the daily inspection, measurement, testing, and approval of all components, products, and processes while utilizing quality metrics to meet established quality targets.
  • Conducting accurate and timely measurements of dimensional specifications and verifying material specification documentation against established standards.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure effective coordination of the quality management system.
  • Utilizing quality management system software and Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems on a daily basis.
  • Managing the calibration and maintenance of all inspection tools and gauges.
  • Participating in corrective action initiatives alongside the quality team.
  • Facilitating communication and coordination among administrative, operations, quality, and engineering departments.
  • Assisting engineers and managers in addressing customer and supplier concerns.
  • Performing Product and Process Audits.
  • Working with quality, engineering, and production teams to revise gauge instructions, quality control procedures, and work instructions.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement efforts for existing quality and production processes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience with quality inspection tools (e.g., hand gauges, optical comparators, CMM).
  • Familiarity with quality systems, procedures, and documentation.
  • A college degree is preferred, ideally with a technical focus.
  • A conscientious attitude towards high-volume workloads, emphasizing accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and technical).
  • Excellent time management abilities and a self-directed work ethic.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in machining, fabrication, and assembly operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
