Personal Support Worker PSW Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team in Madawaska Valley, Ontario. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Take clients on outings and engage them in activities
  • Prepare meals and snacks for clients
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Provide respite care for clients
  • Remind clients to take their medication
  • Accompany clients to appointments and outings
Requirements:
  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach
  • Ability to lift 50lbs (23 kg)
