Position Overview

CEDA is seeking qualified Journeyman Pipefitters for an upcoming project. Candidates must be available to start on the specified date.

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in steam generation and working in confined spaces.

As a Journeyman Pipefitter, your responsibilities will include:

  • Efficiently replacing piping systems to ensure optimal equipment operation.
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs on steam generation systems, including boilers and related components.
  • Performing repairs and replacements on tanks and vessels, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with fellow tradespeople and contractors to meet project deadlines.
  • Following all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Documenting work performed, including any modifications or enhancements made during the project.

Role Requirements:

  • Journeyman Pipefitter certification is mandatory; Apprentice Pipefitters with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience in piping system replacement and steam generation equipment repairs.
  • Strong understanding of tank and vessel repair techniques, including welding and fabrication.
  • Confidence in working within confined spaces.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics related to piping systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as necessary to meet project timelines.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid class 5 license (non-GDL) with a clean driving record is required.
  • Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
  • Required certifications include H2S Alive, CSO or CSTS2020, Fall Protection, Confined Space – Monitor & Entry, and Standard First Aid with CPR.
