About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Science Engineer to join our team at JRS Engineering. As an EIT Professional, you will play a key role in conducting investigations, producing reports, and undertaking design work on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive written reports on building envelope condition assessments, leak investigations, and warranty reviews.
  • Develop building envelope design solutions, including drafting design and construction documents, and applying knowledge of City and Municipal Building Codes.
  • Assist with third-party reviews of building envelope designs for new construction and major retrofit projects.
  • Conduct field reviews, investigations, contract administration, and quality assurance during all stages of consulting and new construction projects.
  • Perform window tests, air leakage tests, and other field testing.

General Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and project managers to expand knowledge base and experience.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to achieve repeat business.
  • Complete services in compliance with scope and company standards and procedures.
  • Meet internal and external deadlines while handling multiple projects of varying priorities, complexities, and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Applied Science/Engineering and EIT designation with EGBC.
  • 1 to 4 years of work experience in building science or construction.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing to work at heights, including climbing ladders, and working on swing stages and scaffolding.

Compensation

Annual salary range – $55, to $75,
