Job Title: Technician-IT Support-Level 1

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Technician to join our team at Richelieu Hardware. As a key member of our Technical Support Center, you will provide technical assistance to our employees and ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first and second-line technical assistance to employees via phone, email, and in-person support.
  • Perform software troubleshooting and resolve network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Install and configure computer stations, printers, servers, and other related equipment.
  • Support mobile device users and create reports using our ticketing system.
  • Analyze and distribute requests in our tracking software, classify, prioritize, and process requests and incidents.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous technical support via phone and email.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in IT support.
  • DEC, DEP, or AEC in computer science.
  • Availability to work an 8-hour shift on a schedule between 6:30 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Availability to be on call 24/7 during specific periods.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
  • Knowledge of networks (TCP/IP, VPN, RDP, Teleworking).
  • Knowledge of Windows 7/10, Office 2013/2016/O365.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange environments.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing technologies, MS Teams, ZOOM, etc.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose software and hardware problems.
  • Skilled in researching manuals and the Internet to find solutions.
  • Good organizational skills and priority management.
  • Proficient in communicating solutions and helping different levels of users.
  • Fluency in French and English (verbal and written).
