Position Overview:
The Primary Care Physician will deliver essential health services in alignment with the principles of primary health care and the standards set forth by Manitoba Health. As a vital member of a collaborative healthcare team, the physician will provide comprehensive medical care to individuals living with HIV and other vulnerable populations. This role is crucial in developing, executing, and assessing personalized healthcare plans that meet the needs and aspirations of clients.
Work Schedule:
This position offers both part-time and full-time permanent opportunities, with a commitment of 40 to 80 hours over a two-week period (including holiday pay hours). Regular working hours will typically be scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional evening shifts as necessary.

Qualifications:
Education and Training:
Required:
- Completion of a Family Practice Residency
- Current licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, maintaining good standing
- Training in Opiate Agonist Therapy (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in primary care, community health, or outpatient care settings
- Demonstrated understanding of health promotion strategies
- Knowledge of Community Development, Harm Reduction, Health Equity, and Client-Centered care principles
- Awareness of Indigenous cultures and the effects of colonization on health outcomes
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Commitment to community-based healthcare
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer use and data entry
Assets:
- Experience or interest in HIV care, Hepatitis C management, and mental health/addictions treatment
- Familiarity with Accuro or similar Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Fluency in languages other than English
