Position Overview:

As a vital member of our multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will significantly influence the advancement of our automated packaging machinery. Your role will involve intricate problem-solving and future-proofing of our products. Responsibilities will include electrical design, ladder logic programming, and the development of user-friendly interfaces, along with creating essential documentation such as software architecture and timing charts. You will also engage directly with the product during validation and manufacturing phases to ensure comprehensive development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the evolution of electrical designs, driving technological advancements in packaging machinery. Your innovative mindset will be crucial in developing efficient and reliable electrical systems, positioning you as a key contributor to automation in packaging solutions.
  • Oversee the programming of various machine components, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across all products.
  • Utilize your expertise to establish procedures and programming parameters for electrical instruments, serving as a key resource across multiple departments. Your troubleshooting skills will be essential in resolving electrical challenges within packaging automation.
  • Validate system and component capabilities through rigorous testing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that exceed industry standards, thereby reinforcing your role as a leader in technology and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or automation.
  • A degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with Omron, Weintek, SolidWorks Electrical, C/C#/Python, GitHub, and Wrike is advantageous.
  • Experience with regulatory standards (CSA, UL, CE, PHSR, USDA) is a plus.
