Robot Assembly Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Robot Assembly Supervisor to join our team at Yaskawa. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly and testing of electrical and mechanical sub-assembly components.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure adherence to the highest safety and housekeeping standards, including 5S practices, to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Possess a deep understanding of electrical circuits and be able to safely work with various voltage levels, including 24V, 120V, 208V, 480V, and 575V.
- Build, test, and repair electrical and mechanical sub-assembly components as required, utilizing your technical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor to plan and coordinate tasks and workflow, ensuring timely completion of projects and meeting quality, delivery, and productivity standards.
- Liaise with representatives from other departments to meet quality, delivery, and production goals, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.
- Develop and maintain ISO procedures, work instructions, and new work instructions for assembly processes, ensuring compliance with Yaskawa's quality standards.
- Recommend improvements to assembly processes, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity, to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
- Evaluate Yaskawa Motoman standard components and special-ordered parts for fitness of use, reporting discrepancies through our quality system.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of departmental equipment and tools, as well as responsible usage and disposition of materials used in production.
- Maintain inventory levels of consumable materials, recommending replenishments to the Technical Buyer and Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills and complete all necessary technical training programs, including safety training.
- Assist coworkers and new team members with on-the-job training, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and development.
- Travel to customer facilities as required to assist with repairs, installations, and start-ups, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Certified Electrical Technician or Technologist with a corresponding diploma and at least 6 years of experience in automated system wiring and electrical panel assembly.
- Ability to read and understand basic electrical/electronic schematics and diagrams, as well as apply technical skills in an effective manner.
- Proficient use of electrical and mechanical hand tools, as well as hand-operated power tools.
The work environment for this role will involve working near moving mechanical parts, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and may require the occasional use of personal protective equipment.
