We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Robot Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Yaskawa. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for building, testing, and repairing electrical and mechanical sub-assembly components, as well as providing manufacturing support to meet or exceed our quality, delivery, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to Safety Standards: Maintain the highest level of safety and housekeeping standards, including a thorough understanding of 5S practices.
- Electrical Circuit Knowledge: Possess a safe working understanding of electrical circuits, including 24V, 120V, 208V, 480V, and 575V.
- Component Assembly: Build, test, and repair electrical and mechanical sub-assembly components as required.
- Manufacturing Support: Provide manufacturing support as scheduled, including building assemblies and systems.
- Design Understanding: Understand the overall design, function, and operation of subassemblies.
- Task Organization: Organize and plan assigned tasks and workflow, utilizing verbal and written communication.
- Departmental Planning: Support the Manufacturing Supervisor in departmental planning and coordination to meet or exceed quality, delivery, and productivity standards.
- Interdepartmental Liaison: Liaise directly with representatives of other departments as required to meet quality, delivery, and production goals.
- Process Improvement: Recommend improvements in assembly processes, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Component Evaluation: Evaluate Yaskawa Motoman standard components and special-ordered parts for fitness of use, reporting discrepancies through our Quality system.
- Equipment and Tool Usage: Ensure proper usage of all departmental equipment and tools.
- Material Management: Manage inventory levels of consumable materials used in production, recommending replenishment to the Technical Buyer and Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Training and Development: Complete all departmental Technical Training programs, including necessary qualification requirements and safety training, and continue to attend training to maintain skills as applicable.
- Team Support: Assist co-workers and new team members with on-the-job training, promoting teamwork and fostering an exemplary working environment.
- Travel Requirements: May be required to travel to customer facilities for repairs and to assist with installation and start-up systems and equipment.

Education and/or ExperienceCertified Electrical Technician or Technologist with corresponding diploma and at least 3-5 years of experience with automated system wiring and electrical panel assembly.
Other Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to read and understand basic electrical/electronic schematics and diagrams, and apply these technical skills in an effective manner. Proficient use of electrical and mechanical hand tools, as well as hand-operated power tools.

The employee occasionally is exposed to risk of electrical shock, noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and may require the occasional use of/contact with/exposure to various hazardous materials (such as, but not limited to grease, oils, lubricants, paint, thinner, parts cleaner, etc.). Employees should have basic awareness of hazardous materials cautions. Those directly using the materials must have specific knowledge of material in use.
