About the role
In the Chief Financial Team, your analytical expertise and financial reporting skills will be crucial in enhancing housing affordability. As a Senior Specialist in Financial Reporting, you will leverage your knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide strategic financial guidance to management regarding financial outcomes, accounting policies, and external audit matters.
  2. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and reconciliations, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  3. Prepare and review annual consolidated financial statements and quarterly reports in compliance with IFRS and government standards.
  4. Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  5. Mentor and guide Analysts and Specialists in their work.
  6. Collaborate on diverse projects as the finance expert, including new program implementations and accounting standard assessments.
Qualifications:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  2. A professional accounting designation (minimum Chartered Professional Accountant).
  3. A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in financial reporting.
  4. Experience in developing and implementing accounting policies and addressing complex accounting issues.
  5. Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
  6. Knowledge of financial, legislative, and regulatory environments.
  7. Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information and provide recommendations.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. An MBA or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
  2. In-depth knowledge of complex IFRS standards.
