About the Role

Amazon is seeking an experienced business leader to join the Hardlines category team on Amazon Canada. The Senior Vendor Manager will be responsible for managing the P&L and setting the strategic direction for a large and diverse business within the Hardlines category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the P&L and set the strategic direction for the Hardlines category
  • Work with highly strategic vendors to drive their business towards the next phase of growth
  • Analyze data to identify key brands to target and build long-term relationships with key vendors
  • Resolve operational, logistical, or business issues and lead negotiations on Amazon's behalf
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive business results and improve customer experience
Requirements
  • 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience driving internal cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
  • Prior experience in retail buying, merchandising, or planning
