Restaurant Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at 2ND WIND BREWERY AND EATERY. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate daily operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of staff to provide excellent customer service.
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure high-quality service.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to ensure accurate financial management.
  • Conduct performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to staff.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to ensure the best possible prices and quality.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote the restaurant and attract new customers.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Permanent employment with 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
