Corporate Investigator

AFIMAC Canada is seeking a skilled Corporate Investigator to conduct investigations, gather evidence, and provide expert analysis to support clients in various industries.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct surveillance operations to gather evidence related to corporate matters, including employee misconduct, intellectual property theft, and unauthorized activities.
- Investigate and assess workplace incidents, including theft, fraud, harassment, misconduct, and other corporate security issues.
- Investigate disability claims to verify the authenticity of reported injuries or illnesses, including conducting interviews, reviewing medical records, and collecting evidence.
- Collect and document evidence, utilizing various investigative techniques and tools.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client requirements and legal standards.
- Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders to provide updates on investigations and support litigation proceedings when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the job, adhering to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct covert and undercover surveillance operations to gather intelligence and evidence in various corporate settings.
- Utilize various surveillance techniques and equipment to monitor subjects discreetly.
- Document and report findings accurately and comprehensively.
- Conduct thorough investigations into assigned cases, including background checks, interviews, and research.
- Collaborate with other team members and law enforcement agencies as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards throughout investigations.
- Possess a valid Private Investigator license in the province of Ontario.
- Flexibility and a willingness to travel on short notice within your home province to projects for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to sit, walk, stand, and or drive for extended periods of time.
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
- Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and having the ability to de-escalate with little to no supervision.
- Experience with the court injunction process.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Bonus qualifications with experience in Policing, Military, and other relevant fields.
