About the Role

Cavendish Agri Services is a leading agricultural services company that supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops. We have a strong presence in Atlantic Canada with 8 manufacturing/retail locations.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts, working with various departments to collect and review expense estimates.
    • Update forecast reports and analyze variances to sales budget.
  • Annual Budgeting
    • Prepare the annual budget, distributing and collecting budget expense templates.
    • Update and validate budget reports.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Support the Planning department through analysis, reporting, and ad-hoc requests.
    • Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning process, working with key management personnel to monitor the demand planning process.
  • Performance Monitoring
    • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
    • Provide insights into business performance using Tableau Dashboards.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in accounting with an accounting designation (CPA).
  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong abilities within the Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Experience in preparing monthly forecasts is an asset.
  • Independent and resourceful with robust problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong sense of urgency with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Motivated to continually ensure integrity and improve financial reporting.
