Cavendish Agri Services is a leading provider of crop protection and fertilization solutions to farmers in Atlantic Canada. Our company is committed to helping farmers grow healthy and productive crops, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team.

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial analysis and planning support to our business units. This will include preparing monthly forecasts, analyzing variances to sales budget, and assisting in the preparation of the annual budget. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial analysis, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Prepare monthly forecasts and analyze variances to sales budget
    • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and 3-year financial plan
  • Financial Reporting
    • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support business decision-making
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management
  • Business Partnership
    • Work closely with business units to understand their financial needs and provide support
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Requirements

  • Education
    • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis and planning
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
